Beth Bell,  a proud Roanoke native, is often referred to as the Siri of Roanoke due to her knowledge of people and resources in the valley. As the Publisher of Macaroni Kid Roanoke, a 12 year old, free weekly newsletter, she keeps families informed of all the family friendly activities and businesses in the area.  Beth is also the President of FemCity Roanoke, a women's business networking community, and the Executive Director of the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce.  Beth, the mom of 2 teen sons, can relate to many types of moms- domestic violence survivor, single mom, boy mom, dating mom, self-employed mom and dog mom.

"I'm proud to be a part of the work Huddle Up Moms is doing in Roanoke and Southwest Virginia. I remember what it felt like to be disconnected from other moms, as I had my kids a little earlier than my friends. Working all of the time, I didn't have the opportunity to make new mom friends. I feel I went through the emotions of motherhood, mostly in survival mode. Huddle Up Moms is here so no mom has to feel isolated, or unsupported."

Chrissi Scherer

Chrissi moved to the Southwest Virginia at a young age, and is proud to call Roanoke her home. She is the mother of two star children, Lena and Ori, and is married to the love of her life. After becoming pregnant in 2018, she found herself completely captivated with pregnancy and birth, but found the path was difficult to navigate, which continued into motherhood. A trained yoga teacher, her practice deepened and broadened during this transformative time. Chrissi quickly realized that there is so much lacking in support for the emotional,  and spiritual well being of the mother and set out to use her personal experiences to hold space for other birthing people.

A program manager by day, she pours her energy into supporting women through her passion project The Garden Yoga.

"No mom should feel unsupported or alone during any phase of the journey to, through, or beyond pregnancy. I am passionate about creating community that nurtures and empowers women, building confidence in motherhood."
